Welcome and Keynote 2016

Vanessa Turke, a UX researcher and digital strategist, will give the keynote address at Cornell University’s DrupalCamp on Friday, October 7, 2016. Vanessa is the former Principal UX Researcher, Digital Strategist and Information Architect at TESSERAC UXD, a web design firm in British Columbia, and is presently a consultant for Kanopistudio—a boutique web design, development and support agency based in San Francisco.

Ms. Turke has been having fun with Drupal since 2006. She started out as a volunteer content creator for a non-profit, then moved into Drupal administration, training and support. She began her full-time career specializing in Drupal as a solutions architect in 2008. She has translated business requirements and website usability research into detailed UX and functional specifications for many different projects including education, ecommerce, publishing, and enterprise. Her keynote, “Dreaming in Drupal,” will entertain and inform in equal parts.

She is also leading a half-day Drupal Basics class on October 6. You can read more it here:
