Provide Panels layout flexibility without IPE (D7)

Time:
3:45pm - 4:45pm
Room:
329
Session Track:
Theming
Level:
Intermediate
Presenter:

Learn how to use Panelizer and custom content fields to provide layout options for content managers to choose from and configure right on the node-edit form.  We're offering layout flexibility, without unleashing the sea of content options and complex configurations of Panels IPE (In-Place Editor).  Also, we don't have nodes with overridden/custom Panelizer displays that can't easily be kept up to date with code changes, because our flexible layout options are exportable and update-able with Features.

People at any experience level will find value in this session, but those who are at least acquainted with Panels, custom content types, and Views, will likely get the most out of it.

Slides and stuff!

Slides are attached -- see below.  Code and whatever else I produce during the session will be on GitHub.
